Intimate DIY Wedding

Chiao-Chi and Thomas have been dating since university but have lived apart for the last 3 years. Long distance relationships are difficult and this magical day is a testament to their trust and commitment to each other.

We started at hair and make up artist, Carol Peng's home.  Carol had every accessory and prop that a bride would need, and Chiao-Chi seemed relaxed despite staying up the night before for final wedding preparations.

The personalised touches that this couple put into their wedding was amazing from their delicious home-made wedding cake, DIY bouquets and buttonhole, to the intricate hand-made feathered pen that they later used to sign their marriage certificate.

Celebrant Nitza Lowenstein chose the perfect spot for their intimate wedding ceremony, and the "force" was truly with Chiao-Chi and Thomas on this beautiful sunny day in May! It was also Thomas's birthday, which made it extra special.

We may have discovered a new category of wedding photography: "cat wedding prep". Their beloved cat looked super cute wearing a dress and a bow, though she was a little camera shy.

"Working with Jonathan and his assistant Mandi on our big day was a joy. We absolutely love the photos and have had nothing but great feedback from our family and friends. Jonathan and Mandi were so easy to work with and I never worried about how our pictures would turn out because I knew they would do an amazing job. We are so thankful we got to use Jonathan as our wedding photographer. He is communicative, honest and detail-oriented. Thank you so much Jonathan, we are very happy customers."
